A Wedding at Norgrove Gardens Vineyard & Railway

There’s something special about weddings on the Central Coast of California during Fall. This was the perfect day to shoot a wedding. I was a bit nervous leading up to the date because it had been raining for the first time in a long time in this area of California. Luckily, the day of the wedding turned out to be clear sunny skies.

This venue was a diamond in the rough. Tucked away in the green hills of California’s Central Coast, it is the perfect venue to have a wedding. The owner is an enthusiast of buying old trains and restoring them to a pristine state. Laid out across the entire venue is a railroad track that is fully operable for the trains. I was quite surprised to see that they were able to fit such a large railroad on this venue, but they made it look easy.

This venue is a combination of lush green vineyards, refreshing coastal views, and industrial trains. It was the perfect combination for an all around great wedding.

The Couple

I actually met Rose first through email, she’s a wedding planner local to my area and I had reached out to connect with her. One thing led to another and she asked if I was available on the 23rd of October for a. wedding. After a bit of back and forth she finally revealed to me that it would be her wedding and of course I told her I would be honored to film it.

We ended up meeting for coffee and connected instantly. I met her and her fiancé Hayden not too long after at the venue so that they could show me around. Hayden was very respectful and grateful to have me as their videographer and I loved how much he was passionate about trains.
